About Me
My name is John Soares and I hail from Yuma, AZ. I trade ETF's(exchange traded funds) for a living. I started this site so I could gather practical well-written golf articles all in one place.
I've played golf on and off for years, without much success. It is only in the last year that I've taken the game up seriously. It helped that my teenage son got interested in the game. He was on his high school golf team this year and will play again next year.
I'm out at the driving range when it opens at 6am, Monday through Friday. Sometimes I'll also go on the weekends. I'm much more consistent now with full shots. I've always done OK with the short game.
